EGR Delete
Software deactivation of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve control and fault codes.
What is EGR Delete?
The EGR valve routes some exhaust gas back to the intake; over time it clogs with soot, the valve fails and the engine runs rough or throws faults. An EGR delete removes the valve control and related codes from the software.
When is it needed?
- EGR valve fault and soot build-up
- Rough idle, smoke, power loss
- Carbon build-up in the intake manifold
Benefits
- Fewer EGR-related faults and soot issues
- Cleaner intake and longer valve life
- More stable engine running
