DTC / Fault Code Removal
Switching off selected diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) in the ECU software.
What is DTC / Fault Code Removal?
DTC removal suppresses selected fault codes that keep the warning light on. It is usually used alongside a hardware fix or delete to clear the light.
When is it needed?
- Permanently lit engine warning light
- A code left behind after other work
- A code for a part no longer available
Benefits
- Turns off the unwanted warning light
- Targeted management of specific codes

Frequently asked questions
Can any code be switched off?
No. Safety-critical codes (brakes, airbag, steering) are deliberately kept; which code is switched off is decided carefully.
Am I not just hiding a fault?
Switching off a code does not repair anything. We scan first and tell you if there is a real fault; code work is only for codes that cannot be repaired or that remain after a deliberate configuration.
Will the light definitely go out?
If it came from the code we switched off, yes. If another active fault exists it stays on and we report why.
